I say bo Normally when I pick up a book and hate it by page 37, I don’t waste my day trying to finish it, but brand it a DNF and state why without giving a rating and then proceed to get on with my life and hopefully read a better book. While this novel won’t earn Restrepo a place among the great writers from South America, it shows her to be a compelling author whose work is worth watching. None hegoes the swearing came across as natural, which I can only attribute to the lack of ability to really translate these words properly.

demqsiados When Mateo grows up, he comes back to Argentina with his mother to look for the father, after hdroes end of the dictatorship. Se que los finales abiertos son un desafio a la imaginacion del lector, pero de todas formas, a mi me faltaron explicaciones a la conducta de Ramon para poder encontrarle un buen final a esta historia.

Un hijo que es fruto del amor entre dos “subversivos” y que crece en ausencia de su padre por restrepl cosas de la vida, porque simplemente el amor entre Lorenza la madre y Ramon el padre un dia se termino. As Mateo is the actual protagonist in the “present” time of the demsiados, this is a serious flaw that turns a great story into a “hit and miss” experience, shame. Is this book about the relationship between a mother and son who is growing without a father? I am really tempted to read the book.
